Workshops Available:
Bubbles 101 (1  hour)
Are you ready to get your hands wet and participate in bubble experiments?  This is a hands-on, hands-wet, participatory session of fun and exploration as we conduct a plethora of bubble experiments.
 
Bubbles 102 (1 hour)
Okay, many of you may have   been to Bubbles 101 and want to do more!  I love it when you come back with friends and colleagues to have fun, learn, and blow bubbles!!  We can only blow so many BUBBLES in an hour, so enjoy Bubbles 102 for an additional hour of bubble experiments!  Bubbles 101 is not a prerequisite.


Rocks, Soil, and Sand Galore, Come Explore, Read, Write & More (1 hour)
Have you ever had a rock collection or made mud pies?  Examine, explore, and discuss rocks and soil through a variety of hands-on math and science activities, then journal about it! Children will be able to make discoveries and continue the fun on the playground or in their own backyard.

Nursery Rhyme Math  (1  hour)
We’re going beyond phonemics and rhyming!  We are measuring, estimating, graphing, and having fun.  We will conclude with a  field day of Nursery Rhyme Olympics! 
 
Magnificent Magnets  (1 hour)
Do you like to learn through exploration and experimentation?  So do your kids!  Explore with magnets and discover ways to integrate hands-on science with reading and journaling. Optimize your teaching with shared reading, guided exploration, and individualized journaling.

Seusical Stories to Support Integrity Education  (1 hour)
Are you a  Dr. Seuss fan?  View some of his books and a few others through a different lens.  From classroom lessons, to  assemblies, and an end of the year field day, come share in the ideas using Dr. Seuss’s books to introduce and reinforce character education traits.

Ladybugs, Ants, Bees, and Butterflies, Oh My!  (1 hour)
Don’t be afraid of insects...become an entomologist!  Learn a little about the insects, see some great resources, make a couple of  fun projects, and take ideas back to use in your classroom.

Investigating AND Writing Fractured Fairy Tales
Join us as we close read familiar fairy tales, then compare and contrast fractured fairy tales.  Students become experts on a favorite fairy tale by researching and then writing their own fairy tale.  Come see the PowerPoint stories students created!
 
Lending Library  (1 hour)
Learn how to develop and utilize take-home bags for students that include a book and a fun, appropriate activity.  Create bridges between school and home.  This will foster a love of reading and spending quality time together, demonstrate appropriate activities, and develop good homework habits.
 
Full Day Sessions:
Prepare for a full day of resources and fun!  We will also talk about the classroom management of how to   balance large group, small group, and independent activities.  We will share methods of journaling that can be used as formative  assessment, parent communication, and guidance for further instruction.  Bring a colleague to laugh, play, and learn together!

 
Read, Write, Learn, Explore: Teaching Science & Literacy Galore  (all day)
Join us as we Read, Write, Learn and Explore  Bubbles, Magnets, Rocks and Insects!  You will get wet with bubbles and dirty from rocks!  We will share ideas about how to balance hands-on activities with meaningful writing!  We will use fiction and non-fiction books to   support and extend  hands-on learning.

Celebration of Children’s  Art & Literature in the Classroom

What's better than reading a great book? How about reading a great book, then PAINTING?! 
In this session, explore books by favorite authors, and PAINT many different ways! Bring a paint shirt and friend! Come join the fun as we paint, play, and learn!
